3 Benefits of Beard Oil

Growing a beard isn’t for everyone. This is not going to be a guide on how to grow a beard. Chances are if you don’t have a beard in your 20’s, you’re never going to get one. For those of us lucky enough to adorn the masculine make up that is a beard, maintaining this should be our top priority.

What does maintaining your beard look like? For years I thought a well-maintained beard was one kept in shape and trimmed regularly. It was only within the last year once I personally started to grow my beard to a thicker side that I realised, just like the hair on your head, your beard needs nourishment.

Beard oil is a convenient and effective way to implement nourishment and vitality back into your beard, especially if you are noticing any signs of dry, unhealthy beard hairs. While my beard did not feel unhealthy, using a beard oil has definitely improved the shine, softness and overall aesthetic of my beard not to mention the health of the hairs themselves.

1 – Let Your Face Smell Amazing

The beard oil in question is one close to my heart.. and of course my jaw. Odorem Beard Oil is my very own homemade beard oil, designed with my beard in mind. I realised that not only do I want to have a well-nourished beard, I want my beard to smell as amazing as it is about to look. Lemon and Eucalyptus were the unsung partnership I never knew I needed. Like Harry Kane and Son – a link up of dreams. The fruitiness of the lemon compliments the raw masculine woody scent of the eucalyptus. It smells amazing without being overpowering, something that was tricky to perfect during the initial testing stage might I add.

2 – Nourish and Hydrate Your Beard

Beard oils are often designed to nourish your beard, revitalise any dry or irritated facial skin you may have. Using Odorem Beard Oil as an example, oils like jojoba oil and castor oil help to regulate sebum production which can lead to a greasy and acne-prone beard.

3- Reduce Beard Dandruff

Yes, you heard correctly. Even the hairs on your beard can produce dandruff if you are not careful to take care of this. Nobody wants to walk around with flakes shedding from beneath their eyes. To avoid this snowy catastrophe, we added Tea Tree Oil which can help to reduce any beard dandruff you may be facing.

There are a few other benefits to choosing the selection of high-quality oils that we used. Castor Oil has an amazing thickness to it and can give you a much-needed uplift without feeling runny and dripping down your neck. Vitamin E, for all its antioxidant properties, can also preserve the shelf life of the beard oil meaning more usage for a longer period of time. A bigger 50ml bottle as opposed to the industry standard 30ml bottle gives you more bang for your buck. It’s highly important for the quality of the oils to preserve for as long as possible.
